Recent Pick Ups
A little bit of everything here, but the big project is the Cowboys trio. I was a huge Cowboys fan as a kid and grew up watching Aikman, Michael Irvin and Emmitt Smith. So getting their key rookie cards together feels like a pretty awesome nostalgia project.
The goal is to send the Aikman, Irvin and Emmitt rookies to PSA together and hopefully get sequential cert numbers on all three. If I can somehow pull three 10s, the upside on that trio is pretty damn exciting.
Then there’s Griffey, Jordan, Barry Larkin, Wemby, PCA, Hunter Greene and even a Tecmo Bowl: Bo Jackson Battle Arena card featuring Baker Mayfield’s character. lol
With PSA submission prices higher now, I definitely have to choose carefully who goes and when. Can’t just send everything in anymore lol.
Which one would you be most tempted to grade?

Yeah the Wemby is def going eventually, I got 2 very nice Wemby base rookies that might 10. That Monopoly card is $150 as 10 in its base form

Yeah, he is one to grade for sure. Especially because the Spurs have such a high ceiling.

I like that Cowboys project. I hope you can pull it off!
As for grading that Bo bat break is my favorite. Cool card

Yeah the Bo Breaker isn’t in the best condition for grading,(8 at best) I’ve always loved this card though as a kid, so it’ll look cool in a MagPro

Oh yeah, you need to consider whether these would get good grades. I’m not good with recognizing details. I can see when corners aren’t sharp and that’s about it. Have you decided which to grade?

Theres an app i found that helps with predicting centering grades

Its called centering 50/50. Idk how accurate it is but it had pretty good reviews

all such iconic cards.. obviously the rifleman griffey is probably the more popular of all the cards

It’s a very clean copy too, I think it can at least come back a 9

that would be sweet. not sure what the going prices are for those right now. i know they use to be up there

I think as people find more and more value on 90s inserts, I think it’s got a lot of long term upside

i agree too.. vintage and old school is making a uptick
