How much do you think injuries this week effect the market?? Any other Jayden guys who invested before the season started or just me? Lol

I generally tend to see how they do in the beginning of the season before investing too heavily.

I sold a lot Shedeur before the season at the right time and took a chance and added a lot to dart to the inventory, that has paid off to this point. Mostly held off on any other speculation unless it was the right price and bought more of the established players. So tough with injuries when it comes to football. Just a lot of gambling haha always fun though!

I also added a lot of Dart as well. Hes looking good and just needs to stay healthy.

Yeah hes also my qb in fantasy. I let out the loudest curse when he went down lol my wife was like “Uhm am i missing something? We hate the Giants” Lol I was like normally yes but he was my qb in fantasy she said big oof lol

Oh even worse for you! He was looking great for fantasy football. Doesn’t look good, but we can hope that he can come back. Strictly for value and your fantasy football team. We don’t want people thinking you’re a giants fan haha

Dart is definitely one I was wrong on. Well, we’ll see tonight. I thought he’d digress a little more than we saw last week. Hopefully he stays healthy. Jayden is my one riskier play I made this off season hoping he’d have a full season of health. Oops

im still learning more about all this. big baseball person and football not as much. i know depending on the player and injuries i think values go up and down no matter what. i wish football wasnt majorly QB Driven.

Baseball is a little trickier, because the card market is heavily driven by awards, unless you’re a perennial all pro, then people mainly care about your Rookie Cards. JJ Weatherholt is a good example. Great player this season, got hurt, lost his chance at ROY, market unfortunately tanked. Now his cards turn to long term holds

Yeah the QB driven part of football is like grading and PSA. You wish it didn’t hold the most value but it does haha

The market is so QB heavy its kind of sad. As a football fan I get so pumped to pull an all Pro O-Lineman card. The card world doesn’t care though lol

Haha You picked the exact opposite of a QB in terms of value. I get what you’re saying though. Even if a player is exciting and doing well, never gets to the QB status.

Out of Cosmic I got a Will Campbell /50 and was so pumped. And it was the “hit” in the box lol. About a $15-$20 card

Ouch! That’s a tough pull from an $1200 box haha at least give me a Will Campbell Sun (imagine if that existed).

Oh yeah, easily the worst ROI on a box I’ve ever had lol. Except maybe the MLB Topps 75 Jumbo’s I keep swinging and missing on lol

I have not done well on any of the baseball I’ve opened. It’s been limited and I’ll keep trying. This is not a group of quitters here in The Hobbi.

thats crazy. thats probably partially why i havent bought any hobby boxes. honestly i feel you should get at least half your value back. but i know ill break down and buy a hobby box of something and it will be a dud but ill have fun ripping it

The fun of it is why ya do it! Lol. If I wanted to put some extra time and effort into it I’m sure I could get atleast half my money back on it

yeah im sure could.. i just grumble at times. i mean if you could sell each card for 1 dollar you make your money back.

Oh definitely. I don’t even think they have a qb3 now. Someone on the practice squad they’ll pull up I’m sure. But Jameis definitely has the steering wheel now

I’m a Florida State Fan so I’m happy to see him out there!

I’m a Notre Dame fan, but FSU has always been my #2 literally since that 2013 season with Jameis! He’s so fun to watch

Their qb 3 is their punt returner lol or at least he was the emergency qb last night

Yeah on their 53 man roster they only carry Dart and Jameis lol. Not sure who they have on PS they’ll bring up to be a backup

I also feel like Jameis did good for getting thrown in there lol so a week of practice and he should be good

He’s the same guy that gave us the 30 TD / 30 INT season. Always will be fireworks when he’s on the field lol

CJ Carr looks like he’s the real deal. As a Bills fan, hopefully Keon Coleman turns it around!

I actually do the inverse lol I wait till they get hurt. If its an injury they seem to be able to recover well from then I but up their cards while everyone else is dumping their stuff.

I already have too many that are now going to be long holds when I originally thought they’d be short term flips lol. Now I cope with the mentality of “if I don’t sell, it’s not a loss” lol

Jayden, Caleb etc. I got a Naibors Downtown last year for $200 after he got hurt.

I avoided Caleb and Dart because I thought they would drop down a bit. But I definitely took a chance on Jayden. Had real high hopes for him this season
