    Hey there –

Went to my first card show yesterday. Wanted to share some thoughts and see what everyone things.

#1 met some amazing people. Many in this Hobbi (lol) are amazing.

#2 you have to sift between people that are helpful vs grifters. There are straight up vendors that will lie to make a sale. Do your research on all big purchases, don’t feel pressured to buy, and be polite when saying no.

#3 inspect the condition of all cards. Many vendors will price everting at NM prices unless you really look at the condition.

    Thoughts everyone?

Card shows are great. The more you attend, the easier it is to make a game plan and to know which dealers are the best to work with. I have dealers I go to shows just to see and when I’m a dealer I have people coming to my table first as they know its always an easy transaction. For sure take a good look at everything (especially more expensive stuff). It’s easier to pass on the card at the table compared to trying to come back and hope the dealer makes it right.

No problem! Just keep going and learning from each show. You will figure out what works best for you and help with a game plan going forward.
