• Topps Fire is one of my favorite card series

Posted by KJXploR on May 8, 2026 at 5:16 pm

I started collecting in the last year of Topps Fire. I really like the design and wondered what happened to it. My research says it ran from 2017-2022 and was sold at Target and through Topps. I’ve decided to try to find some variations for my PC. Here are some that just came in the mail.

Anybody else really like that set and miss it?

those are for sure nice cards. also not sure why they stopped running that. but probably like other series and sets some run there course and they move to other products.

this is what google says.. Topps Fire was primarily discontinued as a yearly,, widely released product due to <mark jsuid=”Rycvxd_g” jsaction=”click:&Rycvxd_g|h5M12e;mouseenter:&Rycvxd_g|sbHm2b;mouseleave:&Rycvxd_g|Tx5Rb;rcuQ6b:&Rycvxd_g|npT2md” jscontroller=”DfH0l” data-sfc-root=”c” data-wiz-uids=”Rycvxd_h” data-sfc-cb=”” data-copy-service-computed-style=”font-family: "Google Sans", Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 500; margin: 0px; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 0px rgb(238, 240, 255);” style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>its status as a lower-end, Target-exclusive retail set with poor resale value for collectors</mark>. Under new ownership by Fanatics, the company is streamlining its portfolio to focus on higher-profit products, reducing the number of lower-tier, niche

It looks to me like they decided to add LOTS of variations within sets rather than have as many sets. Which makes sense for profits because they can just change add frame colors rather than print whole new cards. BUT I liked the different sets! That might mean I focus more of my collection on pre-2023 sets!

And guess what? January 2022 is when Fanatics bought out Topps. And there you have it. Fanatics is ALL about profits

hahah i figured. some of it is pricey but if you can get the value back it might be worth it or just to collect the set even of not the players your trying to get or team could be cool
