Banana Ball.
Okay so who here watches Banana Ball and is even on there looonnnnnggggg waitlist to attend a game? Whats your thoughts on this league?
I love the idea and what Banana Ball is doing. Makes me think of the Harlem Globetrotters just in baseball form. I know some think its stupid and a disgrace to the sport but i think they are doing exactly what we need and putting smiles on millions faces. And there diverse and Love they have a women even playing and pitching.

Tried getting on the waitlist when we lived an hour from Savannah. But I think its a fun concept that they do

I live a few blocks from Great American Ballpark, they were just here. Sold out everyday. Honestly I love it. Great for kids and they put on a good show

I grew up just outside Savannah and went to games when they were the minor league Sand Gnats at the same stadium. I was skeptical when they became the Bananas but I’m happy they’ve had SO much success. It’s not my brand of ball but it’s entertaining a lot lot lot of people. Blows my mind it’s become so big. I have friends who travel to see them play and have been to several games.
ESPN’s documentary series Bananaland is good if you haven’t seen it. It shows how Jesse Cole had this vision and brought it to life.

The first few years of the Bananas it was easy to get tickets. They’d donate some to local nonprofits and you could buy from them. I remember when a group I know had a bunch available. I used to be in Savannah several times a year and I had literally no interest in going even with the great deal of free food with your ticket. Burgers and hot dogs, all you could eat. They don’t do that anymore of course
Little did we know the movement they were getting started then!

Yeah it has taken off like crazy and im happy for them.. Doing everything in house too.
