Panini Packs at National
Was curious what you guys thought? With all the changes in licenses between last years national and this years, do you think it’s going to lower demand on them since most of the cards will be unlicensed. I think only WNBA and Soccer stuff coming out of them will have licenses, everything will be the generic “Cincinnati” instead of “Cincinnati Reds” and will lack all logos. I know a lot of the big retailers rely on those to move bulk of older sets that they struggled to move. (Redemption format, like buying a box of a certain Star Wars sets earns you 1 pack)

theres still collectors who will collect even with not licensed. for me some cards its the look and alot of unlicensed product looks amazing. im big on wildcard products which isnt licensed but they do get authintic autos. As for the panini packs i think they will still go like they usually do.

Yeah it depends on how someone collects. I got my PC stuff but I also like to have the freedom to flip it if I decide to later. Topps will still have their national products that will be licensed. There’s also a huge difference bet what Leaf and Wild Cards does vs Panini. Panini is still making the same stuff just without licenses. WC and Leaf backed into being weird a niche and it’s their biggest draw. Like WC has special ESPN packs you can buy at national. Nothing licensed in it but cool card design.

I have picked up a few of the packs. Wasn’t thrilled. Would prefer just to spend the same amount of money on a single card that I like.
