• If you sell cards PLEASE don’t do this!!

Gosh I HATE getting regular ol’ Scotch tape on a top loader! I hate it when Panini sends cards out like that and I hate it when individual sellers do it.

For the love of all things collectible-card-related please use painter’s tape and not Scotch/cellophane tape (or regular ol’ masking tape either).

    Thank you!

I end up throwing away those top loaders because the tape is just impossible to get off!

The scotch tape WILL NOT come off without way too much work. Painters tape is SO much better.

Oh I had a fun one I had to complain about on eBay. Wemby rookie, listed as mint, all pictures in a one touch. Then I get it and it’s in a top loader, no penny sleeve, bend on back of, was shipped in a plain white envelope even though it cost over $19.99, and there was a crumb stuck to the card. I ended up just taking a partial refund because I didn’t want to deal with sending it back and everything. Was pretty annoyed

Yeah if it was like one problem I could over look it, people have bad days, but the fact there were so many things wrong was just frustrating.

Holy cow! That takes the cake (IF it was a cake crumb lol). At first I thought maybe a new seller but the seller knew which photos to post to get the sale

What would you use instead of painter’s tape? Like an art tape that has hardly any adhesive?? I like the team bag because it protects if the envelope gets wet. But if it’s an inexpensive card I don’t expect as much as when I pay more.

Team bags are good to use. Or could do the card protectors for shipping they have

good question i think if no tape then those card protectors like ding defenders and such. but i would use team bag thats nice and snug. that way card doesnt slide out and still stays in top loader.

I’m very much Team “Team Bag”. It’s a bit wild when some of the big consigners or even Topps and Upper Deck just send a card along in just a toploader and a bubble envelope. It’s a miracle some of these cards even make it in one piece!

Amen! I’m still astounded that Panini sends instant cards with scotch tape on the top loader! Even cards that cost hundreds of dollars
