• Praying to the Jordan PSA Gods lol

I just sent this Michael Jordan in to PSA, and the guy at my local shop thinks it has a really strong shot at a 10.

I’m obviously trying not to get my hopes up too much because… PSA and Michael Jordan cards. 😂 But looking it over, I felt pretty good about the condition, so I figured it was worth taking the shot.

This is one of those cards where the difference between grades can be pretty wild, which makes the gamble even more fun.

So what do you guys see? Does this look like a potential 10 to you, or am I suffering from severe submission optimism? 😂

I’ll definitely post the grade when it comes back. Now we wait…

To me just off the pic looks like a 10 and maybe a 9 at the least

That’s pretty much where I’m at too. The shop guy had me feeling pretty confident about it, and looking at it myself I’m having a hard time finding anything that would knock it down.

If it comes back a 10, I’m going to be VERY happy I decided to take the shot. Even a 9 wouldn’t hurt too badly, but obviously I’m sitting here hoping PSA agrees with us. Now comes the hardest part of grading: forgetting you submitted it until the email shows up. 😆

Lol thats why I’m gonna start making a list of what I send. Just so I know what I have out and for the ones I send to Degree what color to get the label lol

Lol yeah, that’s probably the smart way to do it. Once you start sending enough cards in, it gets way too easy to forget what’s where.

And honestly, picking the Degree label color ahead of time makes it even more fun. At that point you’re not just grading cards, you’re designing the slabs too.

From pics it looks like a 10 or 9 with worst case an 8 which i think would still be good

Yeah, that’s pretty much how I’m looking at it too. If it comes back a 9 or 10, I’ll be thrilled, but even an 8 would still be a solid result for me.

I don’t have an eye for detail but am sure rooting for your 10. It’s amazing the difference between a 9 and 10 as far as selling goes. I do think that no matter the grade it’s a very cool card that would be great in any collection!

Absolutely, and that 9-to-10 jump is what makes this submission so nerve-racking. 😂 A 9 is still a great grade, but a 10 can completely change the value.

Honestly though, that’s why I was comfortable sending it in. I’d be happy with an 8 or 9, and obviously hoping for that 10. Either way, it’s a Jordan I really like having in the collection, so there’s not much downside for me. Now we wait and hope the PSA grader woke up on the right side of the bed.

Yes may the PSA grader be in the midst of one of the best days of her or her entire life! I’m sure that’s what nearly every submitter hopes

Yeah let me get grader who just won the lottery the night before, but still loves their job enough to come into work the next day lmao

Yeah, that looks pretty clean. Corners look crisp and from what I can tell, the surface looks good. Maybe a bit OC on the bottom front? It’s so hard to tell with the “fuzzy” designs sometimes.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I was seeing too. The corners looked really clean to me, and I didn’t notice anything obvious on the surface. The centering is the one thing that made me hesitate a little, especially toward the bottom.

Yeah its by such a little bit being oc but it is wild that it will affect the score so drastically

I’m feeling confident just because our grading guy just sent one of those in and got it back a 10. He said he’d be surprised if it wasn’t

Thats a great sign for you then. Hoping I have the same luck with the Jordan I bought and going to send into Beckett.

Absolutely! I’m rooting for that one too. 😂 If it looks as good in hand as it did in the pictures, hopefully Beckett agrees with us.

So it was you that clogged up PSA lol jk Yean dude I like the move because honestly even if a quarter of those come back as 10s you will rake it in

haha, I would be over the moon if 1/4 came back a 10! Hell, if i got 5 10s I’d be stoked. honestly, I’m just hoping for mostly 8s and 9s and not too many 6 and unders and not too many min size issues. Based on what I’ve seen ad heard lately, I’m anticipating getting smoked on quite a few.

Lol I think that’s the right mindset going into a submission that big. If you come out with mostly 8s and 9s, a handful of 10s, and avoid getting absolutely murdered by 5s, 6s and minimum-size rejections, I’d call that a win.
