Any advice on grading? I want to maximize my value for the cards that are worthy of grading but the PSA wait is just so long? Should I just suck it up?

Unfortunately for resale purposes, PSA is the way to go. You can pay for expedited service levels, but they DO NOT guarantee and I know first hand they don’t much give a shit about honoring quicker turnarounds.

Main reason why I might stop buying raw and just stick to graded and trying to get a fair price

PSA is the way to go. It takes time with today’s products to find gradable cards due to print quality being so poor. So I would keep looking for items to submit because you will have to go through a good amount in order to find some quality items. I like to send out small orders monthly that way I have submissions coming back more frequently and the wait does not feel as bad.

Psa is the gold standard but if your keeping for pc id say try another grading company. Degree grading does a great job. I think us has collectors need to make other grading brands compete with psa and there value uphold like psa does. Though with the way things are at the moment i think alot of cards values are being inflated some

I have been told for PC to use Degree and if your aim is to resell the graded cards to use PSA understanding that you are going to be waiting a while or may pay a fee if its a high dollar card.

As others have said PSA is still the most “accepted” so easier to sell/trade/etc. Degree, I have a couple of decent ones graded with them that local card shops won’t take. TAG seems to be a bit better on that, and no upcharge on either of those. PSA I loath, but even with the issues seems to still be the standard, but I have moved to mostly TAG submission, with a degree submission for PC here and there.
