Yep, that looks familiar! I take so much pleasure in getting new cards and putting them in the right binders. Or mag cases for the better ones. Do you have any cards (or anything else) displayed? I did for a while but have gotten away from that.
-
I do have some displayed on the desk me and my wife share. Looking into getting an on the wall display case for some cards as well

Shesh talk about well protected. Nothing but zion cases haha..
-
The best part is this is just one space lol but thats a lot of cards in the cases
-
Yep this is most of the PC, the other area I have it mostly sealed Pokémon.
-
How much sealed pokemon do you have that you have a whole area dedicated to it?
-
I have a good amount. Not sealed cases but I have been keeping some items sealed from every set for the past few years. I also am big on holding the Pokémon Center ETBs long term.
-
Oh gotcha. That is pretty cool though. I should start doing the same.
-
what would one start with if they were getting into pokemon?
-
In my opinion for sealed if you are looking to hold, really anything you can get at MSRP. Market price is so high, it’s kind of risky to hold long term.

Wow, VERY impressive! Super nice cases. Do you have everything cataloged? It looks really organized so I’m guessing yes you do
-
i was gonna ask the same thing.. i need to catalogue my stuff some how.
-
Yeah cataloguing is a must I feel like especially with this many cases
-
Thanks! I log everything I buy but that’s it. A few are by player (my PC players), a few are all Pokémon, the 3 tall cases are all smaller sealed Pokémon products, a few are more random and one is all stuff I’m selling (the roller case).

How do you decide what to grade? That’s my main question for folks who have big collctions. What makes you decide it’s worth investing in grading for a card?
-
For PC, I will grade the more SSP stuff only. I’ve been grading for a while and have become a grade snob for my PC lol. For still to flip, it has to make sense based on the potential gain of a 10 and if there is a loss for not getting a 10.
-
Thanks for your input. I like learning about what those of you who have been collecting for a while have figured out. Part of me is thinking about who inherts my collection. But I don’t have anyone who’s really into cards so maybe I just need to think about what I want. I think when I get back the cards I sent off to PSA in February I’ll get some guidance there. I sent the cards that should bring the best prices IF they’re 10s. But if they’re not I don’t know that there’s much return on investment. Except for me to have a slab if it’s a PC card.
Where do you have your PC? In those Zion cases? Any in binders? I’d be really interested in seeing pics or a video of some of your PC and how you store/sort the cards
-
Thinking about who inherits your collection can always influence grading or what to keep. Personally, I keep my slabbed cards in one case and my PC cards in another and base bulk cards are in binders
-
Ya for sure show us when you get them back. Most of my PC cards are in the cases shown. I have some of the higher end stuff in my safe. I don’t have any binders.
-
you should do a video on how you go about pre grading.
-
Already done! Posting tomorrow. Its more of a how to review for grading.
-
That’ll definately be worth the watch! Thank you for that!
