What team do you pc?
So we talk about players alot but what actual team do you pc? like youll collect any and all players of that team?

I PC the Spurs, Cowboys, Braves and Texas Longhorns

Buccaneers, Reds, and Bulls I’d say are always my targets when I go shopping lol

Bears, Bulls, and White Sox.
As far as actual team collecting, the Bears are the team I collect just about anyone in a bears uniform. For the Sox and Bulls, it’s specific players from those teams. For the Bulls, it’s mostly MJ, but also a lot of the guys from that era like Scottie, Rodman, Kerr, and even Phil Jackson and others. For the White Sox, it’s mostly Frank Thomas, but also sometimes a random player will catch my eye, like a Ray Durham. Also like the vintage Sox stuff. Guys like Nellie Fox, Lou Aparicio, Minnie Minoso, etc.

I started off PCing the Braves but that got to be too much and I decided I had to limit that. I just mailed the Ozzie part of my collection to an elementary-school-age cousin and he was PUMPED to get it. I put it and some other Braves cards in a little binder. His mom filmed his reaction. I’m pretty sure he appreciates the little collection a lot more than I did!!
I don’t see how you could keep up with the many many many many cards released now and collect a whole team. Maybe certain sets. I kind of did that with Topps Chrome Platinum and A&G for the Braves a couple of years.

oh im sure he did.. its when we become adults we dont appreciate it as much like that.. though alot still do. course the hobby has changed completely from when you and i collected as kids..

I’m a Raiders fan, so anything Raiders I will generally PC. There’s a few that I won’t go out of my way to find. Garrappalo, Minshew, and Smith to name a few. I probably won’t go out of my way to get any Cousins either, but if it’s part of a lot or break, I’ll still take it.

why not those players?

I’ll take them, but none of them really played for more than a season or two and didn’t really contribute to the team in any meaningful way so I just don’t go looking for their cards. I’d rather find the players that are contributing, or have contributed in some way.
I guess it’s also my way of narrowing my focus a bit rather than a blanket collection of all of the team.
