• Whats your thoughts on those hurting the hobby?

So i have been seeing lots of video showing people purposely damaging packs of cards at retail stores or opening them up and damaging them right in the store. From the looks of it they aren’t even paying for them. Also breakers who aren’t honoring the sale of a card won in a break cause its too valuable or the card sells for way less then they wanted. Id love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this.

My thoughts are its just wrong.. Yes i buy retail but alot of who do are kids and your taking away from them.. I would rather see a kid pull a hit card from the packs then grown adults who are trying to scalp people or literally weighing or trying to take what they think has relic cards or case hits. This has become a big problem and its disgusting to me.

Yeah we are currently dealing with people telling me not to go to a card show because my kids would not enjoy it cause their wagon is not allowed. And my kids wouldnt enjoy it. I know I shouldnt let it get to me but its still so aggravating.

That IS frustrating. You want to share your hobby with your kids!

screw them and hey if its a little struggle youll be able to know what to do next time you go to one and cant take the wagon. I think your kids will be fine mostly. its mainly keeping them near you since shows can be crowded.

Oh for sure. We already have a plan of putting them on our shoulders and putting our youngest in one of those carriers that you can wear. Also putting them easy to remember m/spot clothes in the off chance we lose one

That’s pretty much what my friend was arguing last week about breaks. He saw a video of a father and son breaker team who were resealing packs after taking out the hits. They got caught when they didn’t turn off the feed before some confession comments.

I’ve probably been taken advantage of, but there’s that risk in just about everything.

The few who don’t have integrity ruin a lot of things, don’t they?

same here.. ive done a few breaks and im picky on them.. cause ultimately there’s nothing forcing the seller to send what your owed. excuses are made and such. I actually prefer pack breaks.. win it and its ripped right there. not buying into a team or player most of the time. i actually just did my first show with that style on whatnot yesterday.

Pack breaks are fun. Ive done a couple pick your team or get a random player and its such a huge gamble

I think the people that are weighing packs and damaging packs while searching for hits at Target are pretty scummy. That kind of stuff is more for kids. Retail hits are quite minimal usually so why even do that.

I have never seen a show that does not allow wagons. I can see not allowing them if it you are pulling a wagon filled with your cards or sealed products but banning them when needed for kids is crazy.

I was at a show last weekend and overall they are just too busy these days. Which is great, but not so much fun for shopping. A lot of tables I couldn’t even get to and the isles are always jammed. Makes it hard to enjoy.

Yeah it didnt specify wagons for kids just said wagons, but rather be on the safe side and just hold their hands instead of trying to take the wagon in and have them comfortable just to get told its not allowed
