When I started I would do WhatNot but lately I have been doing Facebook claims and the occasional card show

I’m a bit here and there. The majority is through ebay, then whatnot. I’ve been buying a fair amount of base through collx as well.

We finally have a couple of good local shops, but mostly just for Pokemon and Magic, so any sports stuff has to be online.

I’ll be upfront that I’m biased here because I host a show on Fanatics Live for the shop I work for, HitSeekers. But it really has become one of my favorite ways to buy, especially when it comes to sealed product. We basically have access to just about anything sealed, so there’s usually a pretty good variety depending on what you’re chasing.

That said, I still use eBay, card shows, shops, Facebook groups, etc. I don’t think there’s one “best” way to buy cards. It really depends on what you’re looking for.

For bigger singles, I’m still a big believer in seeing the card in person when possible. For sealed, though, I love the convenience of live shows and being able to see what’s available in real time

i get where your coming from.. for me though its just alot of breakers are so hyping things up and i get you gotta make money. i just hate getting burned. have paid for something that i thought i was getting a deal on to only find out i was just price gouged. For sure not saying yall do that.. Just has been an experiance.

Totally get it and since there is no clear market cap, some companies absolutely overcharge. We try to create breaks that are more value focused. Can some skunk still? Yes but its going to be on a $20 spot rather than $200 spot. We aren’t one of the Big Dogs so our place in the market is to be a good value option. A good example, I just put up a 6 box break of Series 2 with no vet base, least expensive spot is $15. If you want to go big the max team is the Dodgers at $150. The real winner with all these fish in the sea over all is the collector because of all the options, you can actually shop around and find the best prices

oh i get the skunking still. its just crazy that some teams go for so much and others so cheap and i get its the possibility of pulling some big cards

so i hear the term no vet base all the time im guessing that means no base or basic veteren card will ship.. why not just send all the cards out to someone since have to send something

most of what i get is ebay.. some come from whatnot sellers.. but majority is from ebay..

As much as I hate how much eBay takes they really are the best option for hunting down hard to find stuff. No one is close to a market as big as theirs. If you want some fun window shopping though, Goldin is really cool.

thanks ill look at goldin sometime.. ive looked at fanatics and prestine. gotten a few things from them.. and yeah nothing is like ebay. some sites have come up i think trying to be like it but yeah

Goldin is too rich for my blood but I enjoy seeing some cool grails
