Where do you buy cards?
There are several channels though which to acquire cards these days. Curious what your go to is. Here are some of the more popular options:
eBay
Local Card Shop
WhatNot
Facebook Groups
Instagram
Friends/Family
Card ShowsPersonally, i have done the vast majority of my buying via Facebook groups. It can be a bit sketchy at times, but if you are cautious and do your due diligence, you will start to pick up what a scammer account looks & acts like. Likewise, you can find out who the quality sellers are after spending some time there. Typically, you can find cards under eBay comps with the added bonus of not paying sales tax (10% where I am!). Also, claim sales are a great way to pick up a decent volume of cards with a single shipping fee and you get to see cards you didn’t even know you needed.
For bigger items, unless I have formed a really solid relationship with the seller on Facebook, I will opt for an in person option. Typically, for me, this would be a card show or local shop. Some purchases it really helps the confidence to see the cards up close in hand.
