Let me think athletes over time…
Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Annika Sorenstam come to mind for golf. Serena for tennis. There are sooooo many I’d have to sort through for baseball. I think of pitchers separately and want fielders to be great in the field and at the plate.
If I include Olympic athletes, whew… Michael Phelps, Simone Biles, Usian Bolt. Katie Ledecky is still going strong.
Muhammed Ali. Some truly had major international impact (pardon the impact pun for a boxer)
I could think on this for days, weeks.
Part of that is what I consider for “greatness.” And now I wonder how much I look at “greatness” when I’m thinking about my PC. As I get more nostalgic in my collecting greatness is much more of a factor…but I wasn’t consciously doing that. Now I realize it IS a factor
