That’s interesting to consider. When I started I paid more attention to what I hoped might have resale value. Now I get what I like and don’t worry about resale. I no longer pay much attention to brand. And after this PSA mess I may not get anything graded again. If I want a slab I’ll send it to Degree to get the card slabbed only and not graded. But this is only four years for me. I’ll enjoy reading the answers of folks who’ve been in this hobby for lots longer

I submitted once to PSA and that may well be it. I’m not looking at resale value anymore and that seems to me to be the reason for using PSA. And honestly I don’t know that I made back the price for grading when I sold three of the cards I had graded. Maybe I did but I’m kind of stuck on the 9s I got. It seems to me that if you don’t get 10s it would be better to have raw cards even for resale.

I’m struck with how MUCH better the artist autos are than athletes’ autos. You can tell they spent time making sure their autograph looks good. Makes the card a lot better I think!!!

We’ll see how much scalpers control this 30th anniversary release. Do y’all think that some of the big dealers get loaded cases with most of the great cards? I keep reading comments to that effect
