I am WITH YOU on capping the numbers at 100! 499 in a set?? What even is the point?? They just make the frame part of the card a different color and put a number on it I guess so people can feel less bad about spending big bucks on a hobby box and only getting base cards? This way instead of thinking you wasted your money you can say “hey I got 6 numbered cards.” Never mind they were one 199, two 299s, and three 499s. Sheesh

Oh yeah! That’s so vibrant! Very cool looking card. Ripping doesn’t mean you even get a good card and this way you get what you want. Great choice!

I woudn’t be mad at a Rays vs Brewers World Series at all. The broadcast people though have to be worried. They want a big-market team for the extra eyeballs

I honestly have given up on grading partially because of this PSA backup but others on here do depend on it. I hope some of them check in and give their opinion. I don’t know which non-PSA will get you the best resale value.

Definitely yes the Dodgers BIG spending and manipulating the rules has a lot of owners upset. They want a salary cap supposedly to help even the playing field.

I tend to agree. I think both management and players know how the strike in the 1990s really hurt attendance in the following years. They lost lots of fans. I’m trying to hold off a bit on buying baseball cards now because I want to see if they really go to lockout in December. The current deal expires on December 1st. But I honestly can’t guess whether a lockout would affect card values or not.

I think this is why people are guessing lockout but not full blown strike and lost season. MLB lost LOTS of fans with that strike. Lots! Your story is one of many many many who felt the same way. I remember the next season was when they started tossing a ball into the stands for fans after each inning. They used to be VERY stingy with the balls. It was hard as a fan to get one. But when they had such poor attendance after the strike they tried all kinds of things to win fans back.

I need to remind myself that for some people $40K is like 4 bucks for me. Depends on how much money you have. And one card selling for that might not matter much over time

I was vaguely familar with the crazy movie but didn’t realize it was based on a comic. These cards are GREAT! I asked today at my hobby shop if they’d be getting them. Nope. It’s in the same category as the Bob Ross cards. Which are not offered to them. I’m sure you know what this category is.

Yeah, I’m not complaining.. just rooting for the people I “know.” The prizes are GREAT for engagement. I know MJ is a favorite of a lot of the ones I know so I’m hoping one of you win it! Sending good juju for that!
