That would look great! I know a bunch of people would be afraid that would hurt the card value but I love something out of the ordinary

I grew up just outside Savannah and went to games when they were the minor league Sand Gnats at the same stadium. I was skeptical when they became the Bananas but I’m happy they’ve had SO much success. It’s not my brand of ball but it’s entertaining a lot lot lot of people. Blows my mind it’s become so big. I have friends who travel to see them play and have been to several games.

ESPN’s documentary series Bananaland is good if you haven’t seen it. It shows how Jesse Cole had this vision and brought it to life.

The first few years of the Bananas it was easy to get tickets. They’d donate some to local nonprofits and you could buy from them. I remember when a group I know had a bunch available. I used to be in Savannah several times a year and I had literally no interest in going even with the great deal of free food with your ticket. Burgers and hot dogs, all you could eat. They don’t do that anymore of course

Little did we know the movement they were getting started then!

Good point that the singles come from rips. It might be the big buyers in a lot of cases (pardon the pun) but sometimes it’s smaller buyers. Like anything you buy you need to set limits just as you say

I’m a big Juju fan too. I had some bids in on eBay for auto cards but they’re going for too much for me. I was hoping people kind of forgot about her since she was out for the whole past year and her autos might be more affordable.
