2026 Rookies
Posted by yofallon on September 22, 2026 at 8:17 amAfter 2 weeks, what are our over reactions, and which RC’s are we keeping an eye on?
With a strong class last year, makes this class look not so good.
For me it’s still my Notre Dame RB’s Love & Price
Then I’d say Antonio Williams a sneaky one for Commanders
Then I’d throw in Jordyn Tyson I think as my next “keep an eye on this guy”
Defensively it pains me to say it, but the Cowboys did great. Downs was obviously going to be fantastic, but Malachi Lawrence looks great

Yeah Price hasnt really been eye opening but feel like the whole Seattle game plan shifted when Darnold went down so we will see. Caleb Downs is doing pretty good but still has rookie mistakes which is to be expected as its still early
-
Yeah I feel Price will be fine in the long term. As for Downs I feel like that’s always the case with rookie DBs. Same with the kid out of Oregon that Chicago picked, Thieneman. Very good, just each needs to learn their new systems

Whats everyones thoughts on Mendozas recently playing?
-
Besides the preseason I dont think hes actually played in the regular season
-
Excited to finally see him, at the same time Kirk played pretty well last week lol
-
-
He looked good during his pre season games, but that was pre season. I hope Kirk keeps playing well and they let Mendoza develop.
-
Definitely need to let him sit for a while. He should be a solid QB though when he gets his chance
-
I agree. He looks like he’s going to be a solid player and I think a lot of players don’t make it because they are rushed into the role.
-
Yeah once he gets experience he will be fine. He showed glimpses during the preseason so we will see what the Raiders do
-
It’s fun to see someone match the hype. Sometimes guys come in and when they don’t produce right away, people start saying they suck ect. Big difference going from college to pro. In college each team has a few good players, in the NFL everyone is can be elite.
-
For sure. I also feel like Kirk is balling out cause he got mad that he keeps hearing how Mendoza was going to be the starter lol

Whatever it takes. Sometimes that chip on the shoulder is what a player needs!
-
Oh for sure! Going to be interesting to see what happens going forward! Especially with this qb injury bug thats going around it seems like
-
you know i think the back up qbs should be just as good as the starters and some i feel are already or sometimes better but i think the starting qbs have so much hype around them that the owners and coaches are like they are our dollar signs so keep them in that position

-
hope they do to. though the little they let him play it looked like good playing. hate for him to end up a bust
-
Just have a feeling he’s not going to be a bust. My elite scouting skills say so hahaha maybe it’s that I don’t want him to be a bust haha
-
well it would suck if he turns out a bust as there was so much and still is so much hype around him. but we have seen alot of collage atheletes who just couldnt transition well to nfl playing
-
Yeah I completely forgot Sam Ehlinger was still in the league until Sunday nights game
-
It’s a crazy transition college to nfl. He will be the number 1 pick so no pressure at all haha
-
yeah thats for everysport.. i almost think id rather be later in the pick and burst into the spot light as one that wasnt all hyped up. lot of pressure on the first draft pick. heck i say the first 5 draft picks
