I did a question similar in football but was wondering the same on America’s pastime. Who’s one MLB player you think is about to become a MUCH bigger name in the hobby?
Not necessarily the best player right now—who do you think could have that breakout season that makes everyone suddenly want their cards?
I’m always curious who people are buying before the hobby catches up. ⚾🔥

Without actually thinking about it I’m going to say the one whose image popped up for me. Bobby Witt, Jr. That’s who my intution is choosing. We’ll see if it’s accurate.
I did have an accurate “vision” back during the Master’s. My sister was visiting and loves to watch the Master’s (we grew up a couple of hours from Augusta). Well, the Sunday morning of the final round when I woke up and was in that kind-of-asleep and kind-of-awake state I “saw” in my mind’s eye Rory McIlroy walking up the 18th fairway as the champion. If I lived in a state where I could bet I’d have placed a small bet just to see if I was right. As you know, I was. So hey, buy the Bobby Witt Jr cards!! 😆

Okay, now I’m definitely taking the Bobby Witt Jr. prediction seriously 😂. You’ve got a 1-for-1 track record with Rory, so clearly we need to respect the vision.
If Witt ends up having the kind of career people expected when he was drafted, you’re going to look like a genius for this post. And if not… we’ll blame the baseball-card algorithm for interfering with the prophecy. 😆

I’m experimenting with another early morning vision I had, actually put down a bet when I was in another state. I’ll find out in October if what I saw was right. If it *was* maybe go in on Witt collectibles. If not, find someone else! 😁

Okay, so we’re officially running the Bobby Witt Jr. investment strategy on supernatural analytics now. 😂
You’ve got Rory as the successful precedent, so I can’t completely dismiss the vision. If the October prediction hits too, I’m going to start taking notes.
And if it misses… well, clearly the universe is telling you to find a different player. 😆

Hmm this is a good one.. Hard to say.. Matt olsen is doing great things right now and he fore sure has improved since last season.

Yeah, Olsen is one of those guys I think gets overlooked sometimes because he’s been around for a while. If he keeps putting up numbers like this, though, I could see his cards getting a little more attention. Definitely seems like he’s found another gear this season.
