Let us know how it went. I have not heard much about them.
-
will do. planning to finally unbox them in a few

Well here are the cards i sent to them and what i got.. As im still learning things these where sent in with no pre looking over the cards and checking them. Plus i probably should have waited and sent in better cards but i wanted to give them a try and think there slabs look nice. Now there still in protective sleeve and they use black sleeves with the multiple window viewing. Slabs are clear like psa and everyone else.
-
How long did it take you to get the cards? I just sent my 5 in for the same deal. Definately may use them for my personal collection though cause seen that they give a book showing why it got the overall grade.
-
Sadly my order took longer due to personal issues and me contacting them and putting my order on hold. I can say that if something comes up and cant pay right away they will work with you. Id say once they started working it it was probably the time period they said or a little longer but i wasnt stressing it.
-
Looks like it was 57 business days. Even with all the influx of orders they are getting.
-
Yeah I just got the email/text that they areived and started the process so now begins the wait
-
thats good. least you can log in and see the stutus and where they are at in the process
-
I do like that aspect of it. First time getting cards grading so unsure if others have something similar
-
dont think so not like that. theres makes me think of ording dominoes pizza where they have there pizza tracker which is the same kinda look..
-
Most companies give you the tracker but I do like how they give you a grading report without an upcharge , May have to look into there services thank you very much my guys 🤙🏽 @wickedcustomzcards @quackcab69

Thanks for sharing. The photos are very helpful. I like the look and will consider using them for my PC
-
Just making sure the black look is the protector team bag.. the slabs them self look just like all the rest. but i like that they even come with the team bags and not just plain ones. Plus for most is nice to get your grade report. ive got to reach out to them cause mine didnt have it.
-
I’ve ordered the submission kit. Now to decided which 5 cards I’m sending with their 50 buck first submission deal. Thanks again for sharing!
-
That was the hardest part for me. But I ended up picking 5 of my PC cards that I knew I was not going to sell or try to get rid of.
-
I’m mostly using Degree for cards I don’t want to risk grading with PSA but know I want to keep. I’m also considering just having Degree slab some cards without grading them but I’m not sure I like the black they use. I need to see how they look on the first batch I send.

I’ve used them and love their slabs and info/report being right on the slab. Degree and TAG are who I primarily use these days. The only downside, is it can be slower to sell if deciding to not keep a card you have graded with Degree.
-
whats your view on tag? i had mentioned to someone else that they engrave the info on the slab instead of a label.
-
Personally, while I love degree, if you do want to resell, it’s tough. (Cards for master sets example though I’ve sent there and been happy).
Tag, value in some cases is higher than PSA, seems to be catching on quicker, etc.
So in my opinion, I loath PSA (upcharges, not transparent on why for grade, ugly slabs), TAG simply looks better and is easier to gauge comps. That engraving approach is just cleaner, images that come with it, and the full transparent report… just nice.
Example, had a large amount of cards to send in as been putting it off for a while, just send 6th batch off to TAG this morning.
-
Yeah I’ve used Degree mostly for PC. In your opinion, do TAG slabs sell well? Or do you not think they hold value? Same as you I hate PSA and dont want to use them cause of the long wait and possible upcharge you face.
-
I haven’t sold many yet, so not totally sure. Watching on eBay the last few months, they certainly seem to be selling just fine.
Some cards seem to be going for even higher than PSA, others less, so a bit hard to be certain. With the collecting community pushing back (kinda) against PSA (who’s parent company also owns Beckett and SGC)… TAG and CGC seem to be the best options long term – but the old names still retain the best.
Long way of saying, unsure, but I’ve got 60ish cards out for grading, all with TAG. (As some planning on selling quick to recoup grading cost, which rules out degree.)
-
One note is that with any of them, forums seem to be saying double whatever that are saying (PSA, tag, etc) all seem really backed up again like last year.
-
-
nice thanks for the input. i will for sure sending to tag too. psa cant just be the only golden standard anymore
-
Same. Especially cause tag is a cleaner label in my opinion cause of the engraving
-
it looks cleaner. just wonder how they hold up over time. but that can be said for any slab

I’m new to grading and was considering going with TAG, especially after the recent PSA news. How long was your turnaround for grading sent to TAG? I love the look of the slabs, and they seem to be gaining steam on the market.
-
I love the clean look of their slabs! I got most of my standard/basic orders in right before they paused those tiers… which they paused due to backlog and not meeting stated times. So, ordered on 4/8, got there shortly after… and most of the orders have been sitting in “order prep” or “image processing” since. Forms have it as roughly double time (so 30 days is closer to 60).
So backed up, but not as bad as PSA. However, their cheaper tiers are temp closes right now, so I would wait (unless a high $ submission – their express ones are still hitting the 5 day mark, we did have one of those and it went through fast.)
No upcharge, nicer slabs, and so much lack of transparency, I refuse to use PSA anymore myself. (Personal risk I know, it does still have the liquidity.) However, the one TAG slab we listed for sale, sold same day – so it has gained enough steam to be able to sell at comparable prices.
-
Thanks for the detailed feedback! I did see that TAG had also paused lower tiers, I imagine that the recent PSA news will drive a lot of people to other graders so their volume must increase too. I sent some stuff to PSA in early March and no idea when I’ll get it back at this point. Even 60 days from TAG sounds very reasonable to me haha.
How did you find TAGs pricing? Was it reasonable for higher tiers if you want cards back quickly? I’m still new to this so I did my PSA submissions through Game Stop.
-
That’s a really great question on pricing.
Tag “felt” more expensive if wanting “standard” with subscores/ranks @ $39. However, no upcharges, full digital images and reports of exactly why it got the score it did. Most of which is available at their basic one for $22 – which is about the same price as others.
Degree, cheaper than that usually with their coupons, deals, etc.
With TAG, you know exactly what you are paying and why – so I have 4 submissions with them still outstanding, 2 “regular” (as I wanted the high res and sub score as I plan on selling those) and 2 “basic” submission, which were more for PC. I don’t have to worry about getting a bill to get my cards back (or any of the other PSA nonsense) and know exactly why a card got the score it did.

Tag is honestly one of my favorite slabs look wise but I definitely agree those Degree ones are pretty clean
-
I do like the TAG slabs may look at grading some cards with them
-
looks like they also have paused certain teirs of there grading like psa..
-
I wondered how some of the smaller ones could handle the sudden increase
-
Im sure they cant really. puts a strain on them like psa put themself through. I mean honestly im surprised that turnaround times where so fast at times when i would expect them to take a while.

I honestly think every company will be better long run for this little break
-
i agree and honestly i feel psa shouldnt be just it. other graders should get up there like psa and card values be somewhat the same between different graders. its the card that holds the value i feel. so a becket 10 to psa 10 to degree 10 and so forth i feel should kinda be around the same value. I just know PSA is the golden standard and thats what everyone wants.
-
From some posts ive seen on a degree page im on degree 10’s are fecthing roughly 80-90% of what psa is so they seem to be on the rise. Feel like a 10 is a 10 and should hold the same value across the board but some are scared of the new or what they havent heard of
-
oh i totally agree.. i mean a grading company needs to be reputable and not just some fly by night cause we all can just start up a grading company and say a card is a 10 when its really not.
