• Dream Topps Chrome Pop Culture Set

    If Topps announced one new Chrome Pop Culture set tomorrow, what license would have you opening boxes on release day?

    My dream lineup would be:

    <ul data-spread=”false”>

  • 🍩 The Simpsons – Character color matches, Springfield landmarks, couch gag SSPs, and on-card autos from the cast would be incredible.
  • 🚽 South Park – Chrome treatment with hilarious inserts, low-numbered parallels, and some truly unhinged SSPs.
  • Back to the Future – Flux capacitor refractors, time travel-themed inserts, DeLorean die-cuts, and iconic movie moments in Chrome just feels right.
  • 🎮 Halo – Master Chief in Chrome with UNSC vs. Covenant parallels, armor-inspired refractors, and relics from the games would be an instant PC.
  • What license are you hoping Topps lands next? Bonus points if you have ideas for inserts, parallels, or chase cards you’d want to see.

      Stranger Things – Hellfire Club Refractors featuring red and black cracked ice foil numbered to /86, “The Upside Down” lenticular character cards and the ultimate chase cards would feature Hawkins Lab Relics containing pieces of screen-worn hazmat suits, paired with rare “Walkman” Dual Autographs showcasing iconic duos like Steve and Dustin on a card designed to look like a vintage cassette player.

      Harry Potter – The parallels could reflect the Hogwarts legacy, featuring “House Colors” numbered to represent Gryffindor Red (/99), Slytherin Green (/50), Ravenclaw Blue (/25), and Hufflepuff Yellow (/10) and the rarest one being the Hogwarts Crest cards with all four colors as a 1/1. For inserts, we could have “Expecto Patronum” silver holographic cards showcasing characters alongside their glowing Patronuses, and “Marauder’s Map” cards printed with UV-reactive ink that reveal hidden footsteps under a blacklight. The top-tier hits would feature “Wand Core” Relics housing simulated magical materials inside a thick shadowbox, and the ultimate chase: a 1-of-1 “Golden Snitch” Superfractor signed by the main cast.

        I’ve been trying for 10 minutes to write a reponse to this post but the only thing it will let me do is comment on your comment, so I’ll add it here. I think of TV shows that people love to watch over and over: The Office, Seinfeld, Schitt’s Creek, Ted Lasso. Soooo many possiblities with each one of those! And for me personally I’d add Lost. And maybe The X Files.

      That’s an awesome list. Based on how well SpongeBob and GPK have done, it definitely pays for Topps to go at our nostalgia a bit
