For my Fantasy Football players, do you think the popularity of Fantasy Football has or will impact prices of certain players in the market? So far, I haven’t seen much crossover. I’m a bit surprised we haven’t gotten many Fantasy Football related inserts. Having a “League Winners” case highlighting certain years and players would be pretty sweet for a lot of people who enjoy both hobbies.

Examples would be a Cooper Kupp 2021, Todd Gurley in 2017, Kamara in 2020, CMC for multiple years, kelce some years, etc. Often times these are positional players, and not QBs. Wild Card has done some, but not much I’ve seen from a licensed product.

I dont think theres a direct correlation between the fantasy football popularity and the players card price. Yes most popular players are great at fantasy but you have a few fantasy stars that no one hears of. Also surprised theres no fantasy football inserts now that you mentioned it

I think it was Action Packed back in the 90’s that had a “Fantasy Forecast” series. They had little temperature-sensitive footballs in the corner that, if you pressed your finger to them, would reveal the fantasy forecast score for that player.

I hadn’t really thought about it, but it would be sort of fun to at least recognize those Fantasy league leader sort of things.

It does actually exist. It’s niche but there are people who seek those Fantasy Gods. Priest Holmes, Jamal Lewis, Ocho all have a decent following mostly for that Fantasy hay day

It’s really more for fans than investors though. There is a chance the market moves to them one day. 10 years ago 90s inserts were niche and now they are some of the most valuable cards on the market. So you never know.

Yeah that makes sense. The old school designs are making a comeback

Yeah I always tell people if they flashy, over the top 90s style cards, rip Cosmic Chrome and Finest

i dont think fantasy football directly affects the value of players cards. Now they both obviously get affected by the player when they get injured or dont perform like expected.
