Hype’s part of modern collecting. If you believe in the player, sometimes you pay the premium. Vintage guys like Mantle spiked early and never really came back down.

BUT, guys like Acuna are why I love vintage…the players I’m looking for have already retired and established their legacy. Much fewer surprises that way!

He’s fun to watch — speed + power combo. Prices feel high though… might wait until mid-season slump.

I just like his style — even my TCG peeps have mentioned him because his stuff is everywhere on social. Is he actually playing that good or just crazy athletic? 🤷‍♂️

I think everyone is a little over priced right now. Lets see what the new season brings.

You can always take that gamble of buying mid season based off of performance with anyone not named Shohei,Judge, or Skenes lol

I live in Cincinnati, he’s the man here. Is he really highly priced? Yes…but does he have tremendous upside? Yes. So at the end of the day until that upside fades, his cards will keep commanding a premium. I got a 5/36 patch rookie of his I’m getting signed in a couple weeks

I think the price for him is due to his upside for sure plus I dont know of many Cincinatti players other than him. Also its a nice card.
