I feel like it is. Because in order to get a guaranteed chase card, you have to spend hundreds of dollars. The average person doesn’t have the disposable income to support that. Its starting to feel like if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on cards, you are not going to be able to get any valuable cards.

Yeah, I agree that lot of folks are getting priced out. Sure there are a few great cards in hangers and blasters. VERY few. And the better quality cards are pretty expensive just for base cards. Cards have become financial investments more than a hobby in lots of ways. It can be a lot like playing the stock market

I’m not sure I agree with this. There are price levels for all collectors with different budgets. There isn’t a rule that your collection has to be worth a certain amount or have high end cards only. Of course, everyone would love to have the craziest cards possible, but you can still have fun collecting in your budget.

I agree that there are multiple price levels and its important to stay on budget. I just feel like in order to obtain a valuable card its something the average collector would have to save for

I think it depends on how you define valuable. A $500 card could be a huge card for one collector but be nothing special for another.

I agree. For a collector starting out to get a $500 card would be amazing for someone thats been doing it a while theyd see it as another day.
