• I’ve opened some expensive boxes before… but $22,000 FOR ONE BOX?! 😳💀

We just got our most expensive box of cards EVER in at $22K a box — 2025-26 Definitive Basketball.

At that price, opening it feels less like ripping a pack and more like performing a financial ritual. Every card coming out has you thinking “please be worth something.”

Definitive is obviously built for the high-end collector, everything is numbered /35 or lower, so very few were made, but I’m curious where everyone draws the line. What’s the most you’ve ever spent on a single box, and at what price does ripping become WAY too stressful to actually enjoy?

Because $22K is definitely getting into “I need to sit down before I open this” territory. LMAO

NOPE thats just insane. something like that i feel like they better be good enough to at least get half the value back. Honestly id like to know what they do or have done to determine the cost of this product or even others like it.. I mean is it just cause the case hits or grail that could be pulled is worth more?

Things like these are essentially a box of case hits but like most markets, its star driven. Harper, Lebron, Steph, Wemby, Kon, Cooper really drive that sets chases

I watched packman open the two box case. That’s the biggest gamble out there. 99.9% loss rate haha craziness! Have to hit the Flagg or Wemby or its a loss haha

The mathematics of collecting, the more people that don’t open means there aren’t there many of those cards in the wild. So the price actually even creates more scarcity as far as the after market goes

22K for a single box is a little nutty. I understand why they are paying that much but that is still insane

I can understand the logic if the ceiling is high enough and there are cards in there that can justify the price, but actually dropping $22K on one box is a whole different level of confidence. At that point I’d be sweating before I even opened the first pack lol. I’ll have to get some gloves for when someone actually opens it lol
