Monday Mail Day
My obsession with patch cards continues. Two /25 Braves pitcher patches for my PC. I particularly like the patch on the Smith-Shawver card. I’m hoping his recovery after surgery goes well and that he has some good years in front of him.
I’m still feeling super blessed to have gotten to see Strider pitch last week! From third row behind the plate in a small minor league stadium. I wrote about that in a post about live baseball in the Collector’s Lounge (yeah, I enjoy writing and have lots of time in my retirement years)
And today’s mail had a handful of other cards for my PC. A fun mail day for me

Those some nice cards! Im hoping Strider is back in May when they come out here to Seattle for the game I’m going to.

I’m so glad you’re getting to see the Braves play! I’ll be paying special attention to those games. Fingers crossed you see Strider pitch. He’s pitching at Gwinnett this week so it’s looking like he might be back soon. Though he looked rough at the end on Thursday. I commented to my sister that he’d only thrown 27 pitches and boom, the next batter it went to 35 pitches. And from 35 to 50 when they took him out he was struggling. Murphy was catching on his rehab stint too. And he didn’t get a single hit in the High A games he played. He’ll also be at Gwinnett this week. I’m hoping both of them have a better week there

Im excited cause its my kids first game and we are sitting in centerfield and may come out on the broadcast lol but it always seems like the rehab games are rough for a bit
