I appreciate it! If you or any other vendors would like to set up please go to the website and sign up! It should be a fun show of hobby collectibles, trading cards being the main focus.
-
one day ill vend. im no where ready to take that kind of task on.
-
The good thing is when you are, there are plenty of shows!
-
-
-
-
Looks like a great time. Good luck hope you have a great turn out
-
Thank you! First show I’ve out on, but it should be fun! I enjoy stuff like this anyways, so I’ll make it fun.
-
-
Hope it all goes well! If I were still out on the east coast I’d be trying to head down there!
-
I appreciate it! I know we can get the attendance. I’ve owned a brewery in the county for 7 years so I k ow the customers and surprisingly a lot of the same people are collectors. I just need to get the vendors to sign up. I’d like the first event to be at least 50 tables, but we shall see. I have a few sports card, a few TCG, comic book, and coin dealers. I think I’m at 14-16 tables reserved. So off to a decent start!
-
That’s actually a really solid start! 14–16 tables already reserved gives you a good foundation, especially since you’ve got a mix of sports, TCG, comics and coins.
And having the brewery customer base is a huge advantage. If you already know there are collectors in the crowd, getting people through the door is a lot easier than starting completely from scratch.
-
Yeah we are happy with the progress so far. I stopped by our only card shop in the county and they are on board. Just need them to sign up haha they took some flyers to hang up in the shop. Already had a vendor reach out from that connection.
Our next trade night has double the people interested and going and we have triple the vendors coming to that, so over a few months we’ve been able to get the collectors in the area excited and engaged!
-
That’s awesome progress! Once the local card shop is willing to help promote it and you’re already getting vendors reaching out through that connection, it sounds like the word is really starting to spread.
And doubling the interest for the next trade night while tripling the vendors is HUGE. That’s the kind of momentum you want to see before launching the actual show. You’re not just trying to put an event together anymore you’re building an actual local collecting community around it.
-
So we are up to 14 definite vendors, 3 vendors I just the need their forms, so I’ll mark them as going once I have those. I’d say between 28-35 tables so far. We are making some solid progress. I have to make sure I can get 8’ tables and then I will offer that option. Some people want one 8’ table. I will update the form and website today to allow that option and we should get two more vendors. One table at a time. This has been a lot of fun to plan. Next step video, pictures, and floor plan of the venue. I may use some AI to give a rendering of what the venue will look like full. I know some people don’t like AI but I find it incredibly useful!

-
that would obviously be awsome to get your only card shop to come.. and thats crazy you only have one local shop.
-
Yeah I’m just glad we have one haha they are mostly TCG, but that just helps me learn a bit more about that part of the hobby. Great family run shop.
-
yeah i never got into pokemon or the others much as a kid. but now im trying to expecially as a seller and trying to get things people are looking for.
-
I have been lucky enough to meet some people who are slowly helping me learn more. It has been fun, just like sports.

hey if trade night has the space might as well bring it.. branding is branding. looks nice.. did you get taple ones done like that?
-
The tables will not be exactly like this. They are going to be black with just the logo on the front with a Buy Sell Trade tagline. I should have those this week. I will show them here once they are finished. I have a local guy making them and full print is not possible on his end.
-
-
Look great! Somehow I’ve missed your posts about this. Very cool stuff you have going on! You’re truly a renaissance man with the brewery and all of this too. I need to think if I know anyone in that area to send. It sounds like a great time!
-
I appreciate it! I am glad I found trading cards again. This has been an absolute blast and a learning experience. This one is a little less stressful than the brewery, but I am doing my best to add more and more onto the plate haha
-
Please pass along the event info to anyone you know who may be interested in the event. I would appreciate it. Trying to make this big enough and beneficial enough to the school that we can put on multiple shows a year.
-
I especially like that you’re having it at a school. AND not charging admission. Kudos to you! I see you’re not terribly far from The Villages. Surely I know someone there, right?? But I can’t think of a single one!
-
Haha well someone may come to mind at some point. I could have charged admission, but I figured most people charge $2 – $5 to get into most local events, but if that money can be used at the vendor tables that’s better for everyone. Maybe it is not a lot of money, but that was my thinking. Or maybe someone just wants to come look around with some kids ect. Just trying to make it easier and more accessible for everyone.
-
Oh I think no admission really does figure into a lot of family budgets. You’ll have people who otherwise would not be there with their kids. Now they think “hey we can buy a couple of cards or some food” and they’re more likely to go. As I said, kudos to you. Not a lot of people think like you and I really appreciate those who DO. The ripple effect of what you’re doing is a lot bigger than what you can see. And it’s very positive!
-
I appreciate the kind words. There is a lot of temptation when money is involved and I never fault anyone for making a dollar, but I have seen my nieces and their friends get involved, I watched parents and their kids come to our first trade night, and have an absolute blast. While I have had some local show promoters push back on my show already haha, I figure just make it fun, put the show on for the right reason and people will want to be part of it!
-
Well you’re doing this for the best of reasons. Good energy brings good energy so I bet the show does really well!
-
Thank you! I am sure it will go well and everyone will have a blast. Maybe find a collectible or two for their collection!

I think it would have been funny to have a video of me trying to get the banner on the poles haha I will keep that in mind for next time. It was quite the struggle haha
-
As someone whos had to put those together at a show I volunteered at I can understand that struggle that was had lol
-
I was thinking “Come on be smarter than the banner”, “Did they mess this up and I should contact them” haha Took a deep breathe and took my time and finally got it on there. Now can I transport it put together? haha
-
Be at the uhaul store “Oh are you moving? No these dang banners were a pain to put together.” Lol
-
A good use of funds in you ask me! Uhaul here I come!

That looks good! If I were still on that coast in Georgia I would try to go for sure
-
-
I appreciate it! It has been helpful for my events and different things I have been doing.
-
oh i use it all the time.. yeah i try to get a friend to deisign sometimes but when you need something right now its helps. i know people seem to be getting annoyed with it but it is what it is
-
It is here and not going anywhere so I am on board. I still have friends who are in the design and tech side of things that I use for certain things too.

I appreciate it! If you know anyone in the area spread the word. This has been a lot of fun. I wish I had more time to do this kind of stuff. I like planning these and coming up with giveaways and games ect. This may be the first place I giveaway the custom cards. As long as my printer and process work the way I think.

make sure to post it on instagram. ill repost it.
