Thanks a bunch! I find this super helpful. And the timing is great because I’m just about to send my first set where I decide myself. Last time I asked for advice at my hobby shop.
This is the kind of thing I was hoping to learn at this site. I really appreciate having your insights.

I did buy a Leaf 1/1 and have a handful of not-Topps or Panini cards that I like the look of. But I definitly lean toward Topps first and then Panini

Thanks! Yes, this first submission will be a good experiment to see how well I can choose cards likely to get high grades. I know it’s something you can develop an eye for. Or I’d expect it would be

I keep seeing my hobby shop share Leaf hits on their social media and have thought the same thing. For my PC Leaf might honestly be a better way to get autos

I may send a total variety of cards in part to see how different sets seem to grade. And only send cards I pulled myself because I know I’ve been careful in handling them

A numbered card would make a big difference I’m sure, and I never got lucky with anything numbered on a record card. I quit ordering them a couple of years ago (well, and the Braves haven’t been breaking records like they did that one year!)

I’m an Adley fan too. 😄 Well and in general the Orioles are the AL team I root for. But Braves definitely on top and have been since I was a kid
