Not that I follow this very well but often I try to buy in off season, so since I collect baseball and WNBA I shouldn’t be buying sports cards now. Pokemon on the other hand…
And with the Pokemon I’m wondering how the big 30th anniversary release will impact things. I’ve seen some previews and they’re really cool cards! But will they flood the market so we all can afford them OR will it be a limited release which means the most popular ones will be out of the price range for most folks??? What’s your guess?

Nice bunch of cards. You ALMOST tempted me with that Drake Maye because of my sister. But she really wouldn’t care if I got it for her even though EVERY time I mention Drake Baldwin she says “Drake Maye!!” Pats fans. SMH

Though sometimes out of curiosity I’ll ask someone who knows next to nothing about sports if they’ve heard of an athlete, and yes, they’ve heard of Shaq. He’s a part of popular culture so maybe that’s it??

I think PCA is a smart investment. I’ve like him from the start but haven’t chased any of his cards. The fact that he’s in the NL MVP conversation with Shohei says a lot about what people think about his season and skill set. As for the 30th Anniversary Pokemon I won’t be standing in line anywhere so I’ll be waiting for… well something! I’m not sure what! I do look forward to seeing what the set looks like.

Apps can sure help, especially with a collection the magnitude of yours! And some apps can help you sell if/when you decide the time is right. I’m guessing Market Movers is one of those. I’ve looked at it but decided that it’s not what I need.

Your cards are in a total ‘nother class! I can’t imagine that you’ll get burned. PSA surely was excited to get your order and put one of their best people on it. I expect you’re have HUGE upcharge—which is exactly what you want. I’m still amazed at what you have! And I’m glad you decided to share some of your truly amazing collection and didn’t worry about how much more your collection is worth than … well, say mine. My perspective has been that this is a place to share what we enjoy and the “quality” isn’t a big factor. We all collect at the level we can or want to afford and that’s just fine. It can be just as much fun for me to get another 5 buck Strider swatch card that fills in a gap in my collection as one a card worth 10x that. Though if I pulled one of those million dollar cards from a blaster I WOULD get more excited than about the 5 buck Strider swatch. 😁

That’s a great return! I *want* all 10s but know that’s not realistic. 9s are top quality too. I expect Wemby is ultimately a great investment.

That’s how I ended up here. I researched slab cases and ordered from Zion because they were consistently recommended as the top product. And then got an email from them telling me about this group after I bought a cool 2-row slab case with a Braves logo.
