Was bummed to see the Jays split up in Boston with Brown going to Philly – at least they did get one chip together.

I’m very much Team “Team Bag”. It’s a bit wild when some of the big consigners or even Topps and Upper Deck just send a card along in just a toploader and a bubble envelope. It’s a miracle some of these cards even make it in one piece!

Ended up somehow winning two copies of the Marcelo Meyer Stars in the Night from 2025 Chrome Cosmic in auctions that ended within minutes of each other. Was able to sell one to another Sox fan at least!

Awesome suggestion – I love seeing people check out different pen/marker options for IP autos and this is a safe way to do it!

This is a good reminder that I need to check my homeowner’s policy as I wouldn’t be surprised if I need an additional rider to cover the collectibles in the house.

I’ve met a ton of Red Sox and Bruins players and the vast majority were at the minimum very pleasant and some went above and beyond (Patrice Bergeron, Dennis Eckersley, Jim Rice were a ton of fun!)

Redemptions are often dependent on when they can be the player to sign or in some cases manufacturing of the actual card.
Had to wait in the 7 month range for a Nick Kurtz auto from 2025 Update. I have a 25 Stadium Club and a 25 HHN auto I’m still waiting on that have entered the “substitution” period.

Might want to try Dick’s Sporting Goods, GameStop, or Lids if there is one in your area. Retail product at these places (blasters/megas) is typically MSRP, it’s the hobby boxes and jumbos that have the aftermarket markup.

That’s always the worst. It’s either take a chance and invest a lot upfront during a direct preorder with Topps or hope you luck into not paying through the nose on the secondary market.

I lost a little bit of money but that was my own fault so it was NBD.

Oh those are very nice!
