Yeah, it seems highly variable. Sometimes it seems to hit my account within a few minutes and other times it seems like the next day. There may be a background process that calculates and updates the count and maybe it only runs at certain times during the day? Not sure.

I think the easy answer to this is JJ McCarthy and Kyler Murray. One of them has to (maybe?) emerge as the starter this year, but if they both fail to perform, it is likely going to cost them. Minnesota still has Wentz and Brosmer on the roster at the moment, but I’d say at least one of them is gone by the 2nd or 3rd week of the preseason. I live in Viking country, so it’ll be interesting to hear all the whining if McCarthy and Murray lay a couple of duds this year.

I don’t know that much has changed really. The only big difference I see in their product is that they have the logos in the pictures now which is nice. I like that it’s licensed, but I don’t know that I paid that much attention to it before.

I’m not really a Pokemon person, but I assume the same concept applies to the stuff I do play with. It’s a slightly older set, so is the sealed box worth more than retail? Maybe sell it and buy two from another set or something?

wow. Yeah, that is a crazy break. As a Raiders fan, that Jeanty auto is pretty sweet. And you can’t beat a nice color match like that Purdy. Especially when it works out that it’s also a super low /X

I haven’t really found a good way to get rid of the bulk either. At least not while still making some money on it. There’s lots of good ways to get rid of them. Several places that repack them and give them to veterans or to kids. I’ve seen some people who throw 10 or so in a team bag and just hand them out at cons or other events.

Minnesota’s fan base is weird about that too. It’s been so long since they had a really good QB for more than a year or two and held on to them. JJ really didn’t get a rookie season, so last year was that for him. We’ll see what he does with this second year. Certainly gonna have some competition though.

Wouldn’t it? I’m about 100% sure they’d get busted for it at some point for sure cause there will be someone who cracks and rips a pack or two. I know I’ve seen videos where that’s happened. But the percentage of packs that get cracked and ripped has to be pretty small. What if it was just one rogue grader who just did a few packs here and there?

lol. Seriously though, what’s to stop them from opening it, taking the cards, replacing them with bulk, resealing and then “verifying” it and slabbing it? Sure, somebody might eventually give in to temptation and crack and rip it, but I had to wonder.

I think it was Action Packed back in the 90’s that had a “Fantasy Forecast” series. They had little temperature-sensitive footballs in the corner that, if you pressed your finger to them, would reveal the fantasy forecast score for that player.
I hadn’t really thought about it, but it would be sort of fun to at least recognize those Fantasy league leader sort of things.

Yeah, the June one happened that way. I maybe shouldn’t have called it the June giveaway. I’m thinking the drawing that should have happened at the beginning of this month after they did the engagement drawing. That’s this thread, but I don’t see anything posted in here about the member giveaway.

I think it all revolves around JJ McCarthy and how he’s recovered. And if he decides to play well or not. With the GM moving on in the offseason, I wonder if they don’t decide to move McCarthy at some point this season after his less than stellar first couple of years.

I think it has something to do with the card treatment, but apparently it doesn’t detract from the value of the sealed stuff in any case. Always been an annoyance to me too though.
