I picked up the 2026 Leaf Anime Nation Fernando Mendoza. Sent it off to Degree for grading and got a 9 on it. Will look nice in my PC for sure.

I used to love watching Alstott play. Him and Ritchie for the Raiders were the prototype big fullbacks in their day. Just give them the ball or run behind them and run everyone over.

Well, I’ll put it this way. The Raiders are already 33% to their win total from last year, so I guess you could say it’s looking OK. Jeanty looked really good. Cousins looked about as you’d expect.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the offense evolves when Bowers returns. Should add a nice new dynamic.

I didn’t really think about it until a moment ago. Do the Fever have a blue/yellow uniform? Or is that a collegiate swatch on the pro card?

That’s a huge get! Great looking card too. I think that’s what it’s all about; finding those cards that really belong in the PC and being able to add them. Great find!

Not very much. There’s a couple floating around the league. I am pretty stoked that the Raiders are running with one again after quite a few years without one. I just really like the power running idea; we’re gonna run it at you, so stop us.

Well, if Baker gets his motivation from his lack of contract, they just might do it. Should be a pretty deep run though. Division champs at the very least.

This got me looking at a few of my Jordans. I hadn’t realized that there had been such a boom in prices on his cards lately. I have one card that I bought about a year ago for $9 that’s suddenly selling on ebay for $120. Not that I intend to sell it, but holy cow it’s gone up some I guess!

Well, over the last three years, we’ve drafted Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, and now Fernando Mendoza. Legitimately, they’re pretty good players. But, even Bowers and Jeanty have cooled some if you just want base. It’s the autos and sub 50 print run cards that are super hard to find now and just as expensive.

Honestly, I’m not sure. I like using an app because it auto calculates scores and such. I just think it would have to be in a league of players who I knew and that I knew weren’t going to just disappear 3 weeks into the season.

Well, for sure avoid the free leagues on ESPN. That’s what finally turned me off. I couldn’t find a private league to join so I joined a few of those every year. It’s nice cause it gives me an incentive to watch individual players who aren’t on the Raiders, but every year, at least 2 or so of the players totally ghost the league and it loses it’s fun when that happens.

I’ve got a sealed set of the Rare Air, so I probably have that one. Not sure if I have the Jackson or not. Certainly collected a lot back then, so I might.
