I’ve narrowed my sports cards focus since getting on this site. Now my big three MLB PCs are Michael Harris, Spencer Strider, Adley Rutschman with some vintage Chipper, Maddux, and Aaron thrown in (but nothing pricey, basic stuff). WNBA it’s Clark, Bueckers, Boston, Malonega, Citron, Amoore, Miles, some of the Atlanta Dream.
Just started Pokemon and am working on Cubone/Marowak, Talonflame evolution line, and am deciding what to focus on with a bunch of others.
Since I haven’t been collecting but for about 4 years it’s been interesting to see how my approach has changed. I still don’t feel comfortable springing for cards much over $100. And not that much most of the time.

It can be gambling with another name. Very good advice to collect what you want. That’s what gives long-term enjoyment and really makes this a “hobby” and not a “business.”

I was spending too much money and getting too many cards to deal with. So partially it practicality. But also I’m finding I’m enjoying collecting more now that I have a focus. I’m not sure why that is…

Burton is fun to watch, too. I have way too many PC players but am right now kind of focusing on Malonga, Citron, Amoore, and Miles (but everyone has caught on to Miles) but nothing like your top Caitlin cards.
