It does actually exist. It’s niche but there are people who seek those Fantasy Gods. Priest Holmes, Jamal Lewis, Ocho all have a decent following mostly for that Fantasy hay day

I definitely appreciate old games. Haven’t really gotten into the collection side yet. Always seemed like a really fun hobby

That’s fair on the global demand, but I don’t think supply is the best explanation. If anything, the hobby had more licensed competition back then—Upper Deck, Fleer, SkyBox, Topps, Donruss, Score, Pinnacle, Leaf, and others were all producing cards. Today, baseball is essentially a Topps monopoly. I think the bigger difference is where the demand comes from. Basketball has a uniquely global collector base, plus Jordan and Kobe have become cultural icons beyond sports. If MLB can continue expanding internationally with players like Ohtani, Soto, and the next wave of stars, I think baseball values have plenty of room to grow.

Yeah Chrome Black has been a lot of fun. I’m a Bucs fan so I lost it when I pulled the Emeka. The Burrow is probably the most valuable.

Chrome Black is actually a pretty common set. There’s everything from Chrome Black MLB to Chrome Black Star Wars

Yeah I always tell people if they flashy, over the top 90s style cards, rip Cosmic Chrome and Finest

It’s really more for fans than investors though. There is a chance the market moves to them one day. 10 years ago 90s inserts were niche and now they are some of the most valuable cards on the market. So you never know.

Yeah I think that’s the problem, there isn’t a lot of sets that do those widevisions, so limited demand.
